You use…
Vimeo and not YouTube for your online videos because of their superior quality…
Google Apps and not Microsoft Office for your email, calendar and document management…
Twhril not Twitteriffic for your Twittering…(If you’re not using Twitter you’re not eligible to be tech cool.)
WordPress and not Typepad for your blogging. (Self-hosted WordPress if you want to be uber-cool)

Sounds like someone is trying to puff themselves up.
I’d say, quality on youtube is just as good as vimeo if you know what you’re doing when you upload, plus youtube will allow you to posts as many videos as your want per week. But really, if you’re tech cool, you would use revver.com or blip.tv.
Webmail and calendars are so 1998, so that can’t be cool. Find a quality desktop app and integrate it with your GTD style.
Twhirl is a crappy Adobe AIR app that poisons your Mac experience (if you’re tech cool enough to use one) by not being or operating in a Mac way. Tech cool users understand that and avoid it.
Can’t argue with you on the wordpress thing, glad I convinced you to see the light.
