I like you guys and gals.
I ask you questions, you provide great answers.
But I don’t want it to be one-sided. I want you to have your chance to grill me.
So go ahead. Ask away. Serious or silly. Personal or public.
The short questions I’ll answer in comments. The long ones I’ll save for an entire blog.

Whys is the sky blue and the grass green and not the other way around?

@Stacey- I’ll assume the question was why each was that color and not where the color itself comes from, and say that God made it that way. Otherwise, people would try to mow the sky and jump into the ground, and that’s not going to help anyone.

@rossmiddleton- A responsible Reformer. I know God is in control and man is responsible, but if you were going to slap a generalized theological term on me, it’d be reformed and not free will.

K, a few weeks ago you were talking to your youth about the myth: everything happens for a reason. It fired my curiosity, how do you preach that? What are your points and biblical references?

@rossmiddleton- Ok, well, how about this: All Open Theists, are IMHO, heretics. Better?
@Jeremy- Here’s a link to my notes that I preached from. I explained that it wasn’t a biblical idea, but one of Greek Stoic Fatalism, and showed how it’s a perversion of what we see in Romans 8:28. Lemme know if you need me to fill in any blanks.

@antwon- Courage, faith, boldness, walking by faith and not by sight. Not holding to my comfort and security to be having everything planned out, everything nice and neat before I step out. I need to get my feet wet by stepping out of the boat.
@Chad- No, I don’t believe that we’re experiencing an irreversible, permanent warming of the planet due to human-only factors. In fact, we’ve been cooling since 2001. I think we should be right stewards of creation and resources and not frivolous with it, but I don’t think we should freak out and make the planet’s condition our religion.

Clayton,
I’m reading the Wild Goose Chase right now by Mark Batterson.
By far the best book on living a life filled with adventure while chasing the Wild Goose.
Daniel Gilland let me borrow it from him while he’s in New York.
Great read.

@gretchen- How can I not like them? Never really got into them when I was young, but don’t have a problem with them now. So it’s not that I don’t like them NOW, it’s that i didn’t when i was younger, so I developed a greater affinity for apples.
